Day 2 - August 6, 2014

Today was a day of driving.  Up at 7:30, had breakfast and packed up.  Hit the road at 8:30, stopped at the first McDonald's and tried to blog, wasted an hour, trouble with the internet, so we left again and kept driving.  Crossed over to Wisconsin around 11:00 a.m.  Shortly after that we saw a huge black bear that had just been hit by a transport truck.  The police were there and traffic moved slowly by.  It was amazing, Pete's first bear sighting ever.  We met two nice police constables from the Sheriff's department who suggested we leave Cameron, WI at a slower pace.  Arrived at the Interstate State Park on the St. Crois River at 5:30 p.m.  The border of Minnesota is right across the river.

  1. No garage pics yet. That's good!
A bit nerve wracking when the nice constables invited you to chat?
