We were on the road just before 8:00 a.m. We stopped at Canadian Tire to get a 25% refund on our new bike rack as it went on sale today. Then we were off. We stopped in Peterborough for lunch at the Lift Lock. We hadn't been there for quite a few years and it's always nice to see. It was a lovely place to sit and eat and watch boaters go by on the Trent/Severn canal. Our next stop was the KOA Camp in Kingston. They only had 1 50 amp site left for $82.50 a night which we declined by they called several other campgrounds and found us a spot. It was on Loughsborough Lake. Somewhat rustic, but nice and it was filled with many long term campers who knew each other well. The owner was very easy going and wouldn't let us pay and didn't want us to sign anything or register at all. He said he would stop in later for payment. We slept great.
So fun that you were in Peterborough!!
