Outer Banks Vacation - November 13, 2017

Today we went to Carolina Beach to the NC Aquarium and to Fort Fisher.  The aquarium didn't seem familiar at all.  It was really nice though.  The Fort was actually closed, but we could walk through all the grounds which is the main part of it anywhere.  There are signs everywhere describing every thing.  The day was cloudy with a little rain in the morning, but then cleared up and was a lovely afternoon.

We tried to find where you lived, Mom, but could not.  Everything looks very different.  More built up and the beach seems much narrower.  It looks like at least two piers have come down.  You can still see some of the posts in the water.

We walked on the beach in the afternoon and then came back to the park at supper time.  Another day over.  Tomorrow we will start heading home.  We will first stop in to the office to say hello to John.
