This morning we left the KOA around 9:30 or 10 after dumping all liquids in case of cold weather on our trip home. We went downtown Wilmington and stopped at the Monteith Office to say hi to John. We met Denise and John and many others who were all happy to see us. We had a tour of the office, Saw the 'wall of fame'. Dad and Monty are on the wall with Abraham Lincoln. a short talk and then left them again.
We walked around the waterfront and had coffee at a cafe which was the best coffee we've had yet in the states. We left Wilmington around 11:00 a.m. and are now in Wytheville, VA at a KOA again. It is carved into the side of what could be Walton's Mountain. We arrived here around 4:30 p.m. We don't want to drive in the dark.
So glad you stopped in at the office Angela!! I am sure John and Denice were thrilled! Wonderful picture of you and John in front of the famous wall!! All of your pictures are making me nostalgic....so many good memories, especially of family visits. I can smell and hear the ocean from here! Safe travels, anxious to have you home again!
